I have written 2 essays for 1 month. There were Logical Division and Cause/effect. I learned that some topics are better to be divided by logical division essays and some topics are better to be divided by cause/effect essays. However, I have a problem how do I arrange them which are my ideas of brainstorming in my essay. Both logical division and cause/effect essay are difficult to me, they have very different format though. And I know that getting closer to conclusion, my paragraphs getting out of the main idea. I recognize it is my big problem and also it is the hardest thing I can not solve.

Other classmates have the same trouble that you have, Bona. You are right that it is difficult to stay focused later in the paper. Students’ last body paragraphs are often their weakest! However, the problems you have are not so hard to solve. In these cases I think the best way is to discuss your ideas with a native speaker. Make an appointment with me or with the Writing Center.
